Bio

I am a first-year Ph.D student at Northeastern University studying under Dr. Michael-Ann DeVito in the SEALab (Sociotechnical Equity and Agency Lab). My main research centers around the critique and development of sociotechnical systems for marginalized communities (primarily transfemme individuals). My primary research methods at the moment are qualitative, specifically from a constructivist grounded theory perspective. Some of my other interests include the following: - Social Computing - Queer HCI - Data Visualization - Web Technologies If you are interested in collaborating with me based on any of these interests, don't hesitate to email me!

I completed my undergraduate studies at UNC Charlotte with a B.A. in Computer Science and a specific focus on human-computer interaction. Outside of designing sociotechnical systems, I have completed work in the realm of data vis with Dr. Kyoung-Hee Kim and Dr. Jing Yang.

In my free time I enjoy running, programming, playing violin, and collecting records from a wide variety of time periods and genres. I am a huge fan of Bob Dylan, Björk, music from the romantic era, and my hometown heroes, Wednesday <3 I also run a Youtube channel where I make videos that are sometimes related to these interests.
